COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS
Discover tools and pathways designed to help every student realize that higher education and meaningful careers are within reach

A-G REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for admission to a University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU), students must complete a specific set of college-preparatory courses known as the A–G requirements. These 15 courses span key subject areas like English, Math, Science, History, Language Other Than English, Visual and Performing Arts, and College-Prep Electives.
Students must earn a grade of C– or better in each course, with at least 11 completed by the end of their junior year. Meeting these requirements is a critical step toward college readiness and ensures students are academically prepared to succeed at the university level.
