A highly selective regional science fair with strict research requirements, Synopsys Championship hosts participants from all over the Bay Area every year. Forty-two SLI projects were accepts this year; twenty-nine from Cabrillo Middle School and thirteen from the high school; and we are thrilled to announce that over a third of those projects received awards and honors; ten middle school projects and five high school projects.

Six SLI teams placed first or second in the Physical Science and Engineering category and two teams placed first in Biological Science and Engineering. Two teams from middle school and two teams from high school have been invited to attend the State Science Fair. And three Cabrillo teams were nominated to apply for Broadcom MASTERS, a top-tier national science and engineering competition for Middle School Students.

Congratulations to all teams that presented in Synopsys and best of luck to those moving forward with their projects!
