Van T. Dang is Vice President, Law & Deputy General Counsel at Cisco Systems, Inc. in San Jose, California. She’s the head of the Product and Technology Transactional Group within the Legal Department. Ms. Dang is also responsible for privacy and data protection compliance at Cisco. She is Executive Sponsor of the Women in Technology Initiative at Cisco with the mission to increase women participation in the science and technology fields.

Dang joined Cisco in 1996 when Cisco acquired Stratacom. Prior to working for Cisco, Ms. Dang was Vice President, Corporate Counsel of Maxtor Corporation (1992-1996). From 1987 through 1992, Ms. Dang was a corporate associate at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP (formerly, Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro).
