Teacher Innovation Grants

Teacher Innovation Grants empower teachers with opportunities to inspire their students to succeed in school. Each year, teachers with grants are able to create memorable, interactive and enhanced learning experiences -- experiences that would not exist without the additional funding. The Innovation Grants provide teachers with opportunities to better connect with their students in new and innovative ways, enabling higher levels of learning in the classroom and on field trips. Since 2007, Teacher Innovation Grants (TIG) have empowered over 1,000 teachers with more than $500,000 in grant money.

Eligibility

Grants are available for teachers who work in Santa Clara County public school districts or charter schools that have a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF). If your district is not listed below, contact your Superintendent about this opportunity and request that a MOU be signed with SVEF.

  13. Los Altos School District
  14. Los Gatos Union School District
  15. Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District
  16. Metropolitan Education District
  17. Milpitas Unified School District
  18. Moreland School District
  19. Morgan Hill Unified School District
  20. Mount Pleasant School District
  21. Mountain View-Los Altos Unified High School District
  22. Mountain View-Whisman School District
  23. Oak Grove Elementary School District
  24. Orchard Elementary School District
  25. San Jose Unified School District
  26. Santa Clara County Office of Education
  27. Santa Clara Unified School District
  28. Sunnyvale School District
  29. Union School District

Previous grant recipients are not eligible to apply again although SVEF hopes to open the process to previous recipients in the future.
