Stepping Up To Algebra (SUTA) has helped over 2,000 incoming eighth grade students develop critical math skills and succeed in algebra. Through a 75-hour program, SUTA offers a standards-based curriculum by credentialed math teachers and a college-focused theme with field trips to local universities and college information nights. Stepping Up To Science (STEPS) is designed to help incoming ninth grade students successfully complete their first A-G college prep course. During the 75-hour program, credentialed science teachers use a standards-based curriculum including science probes and lab activities developed specifically for participating students.
