Young Reader Future Leader - Why

Literacy is central to a child’s ability to learn. Parents, early educators and staff at community based organizations are in roles that influence early literacy. This website is a central portal to many resources that exists to support them in this role. The Young Reader Future Leader project was funded through a grant from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and input related to its content was gathered from staff from the following agencies: Bring Me a Book Foundation, Grail Family Services, WestEd E3 Institute, San Jose City College, Santa Clara County Office of Education, San Jose Public Library and Kids In Common.
