In the spring of 2010, with the collaboration of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, we held a series of interactive forums on closing the achievement gap. From this series of forums, a policy brief emerged with some very specific recommendations on what to do about the persistent discrepancy in achievement scores among White, Asian African-American and Hispanic students. The recommendations presented in the policy brief will be the topic of what promises to be a lively discussion on the possible impact of the recommendations. Attendees will receive a free copy of the policy brief.
