Around 230 educators, community leaders, business leaders, and elected officials joined us on October 12 at the screening of Waiting for Superman, a new documentary film about the state of public education. This film has created a tremendous amount of discussion and controversy and everyone interested in education needs to be aware of its message. We take no position on the point of view of the filmmaker, Davis Guggenheim. We simply made it available to promote further discussion of the issues. We will be hosting a forum on the film and the issues it raises in the near future involving proponents and opponents of the film's message.
