As part of our advocacy approach, we organize several events throughout the year to promote education in our area.
Pioneers & Purpose is our annual celebration for education and most important fundraiser event. It was first celebrated in 2005 and since then we have raised over $1.5 million, which has helped us to benefit local students, teachers, and schools. It has always been held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. It usually takes place in June and it attracts over 500 supporters. Learn more.
The majority of the events that we organize are education forums, which involve a panel of guests that discuss a relevant education topic. Typically, a panels consist of an education leader, a community leader, experts in the field and a business leader. The forums are moderated and provide an opportunity for the 100 - 150 attendees to ask questions. These forums are hosted and sponsored by local organizations. Lunch or refreshments are always provided, and the events are always free unless otherwise noted. See upcoming events.
Besides our educations forums, we also partner with other organizations to organize events such as interactive roundtable discussions, award ceremonies, fundraising events, donor recognition events, grant distribution, and other types of events that help us to achieve our mission.
